About the Artist Lucius Rafi

I am an artist based in Houston, TX, with a focus on traditional and digital 2-D art.

As a multimedia artist, I strive to showcase an array of mediums in my portfolio, such as artworks created with pencil, charcoal, paint, digital art applications and more. In my spare time I am exploring 3-D rendering/animation and intend on implementing that knowledge into my projects in the future.

In addition to my artistic pursuits, I am dedicated to maintaining a balanced lifestyle. I incorporate a fitness regimen into my weekly routine to counterbalance the time spent at my desk. I also have an interest in academic subjects such as literature, human anatomy, and paleontology and trying to make an effort to allocate time for these subjects amidst my other commitments. Alongside visual art, music is a significant part of my daily life. I’m usually listening to some kind of music throughout the day. Especially when I’m working on an art project. I occasionally practice playing the violin or guitar when I have time or remember to make time for them. While I’m still a novice with these instruments I plan to practice more consistently and learn to make my own music with them in the future.

Through these varying interests and activities, I hope to cultivate a well-rounded and enriching creative practice.
