Chalk Drawing: Gossamer Erosion
This ethereal mountain landscape, featuring abstract transitional elements, is a chalk drawing created on an acid-free 11x14 inch piece of heavyweight black paper.
Although I initially planned to use colored pencils, I determined I would use chalk instead for its unique shape (flat sides), which perfectly suited what I needed to achieve the desired mountain forms. I used a Conté à Paris brand piece chalk that I found while rummaging through my supplies. The smooth blendability allowed me to capture the desired atmosphere I was aiming for.
The Story:
Eternal they seem, these ephemeral forms, adrift through the celestial realm. Their appearance ever-changing, mirroring the landscapes they traverse. Like fleeting wisps of stardust, they vanish as swiftly as they appeared, swaying back into formlessness.
Though gone, their essence lingers, leaving an enduring imprint.
