Digital Painting: Seraphic Shores
I created this digital painting using both Krita and Gimp, leveraging their individual strengths for different phases of the creative process.
In Krita, I prioritized developing the foundational elements of my digital painting, focusing less on developing a color scheme and more on brush choices and scene/items layout. Once the basic structure was in place, I experimented with the image in Gimp to explore potential color schemes and lighting effects. Throughout the process, I transitioned between these applications, ultimately relying on Gimp for final color adjustments, lighting, and other enhancements.
I don’t usually use gimp alongside krita for digital painting projects, but I found it really helpful for this project. I might try using it more often in the future.
